When I pulled Argenti back in version 1.5, I was drawn to his dramatic knight-of-beauty energy, and in 2026 I still find him one of the most satisfying Erudition characters for clearing waves of enemies. Argenti is a 5-star Physical character who follows the Path of Erudition, and he works best as a main DPS. Unlike many Erudition characters such as Jing Yuan, he does not rely on follow-up attacks. Instead his Talent rewards me for hitting as many targets as possible by restoring Energy and increasing his CRIT Rate per enemy struck.

After testing him across multiple game modes, I can say that his build is not overly complex, but it does demand attention to Energy Regeneration and CRIT stats.
Best Light Cones For Argenti
Does he need his signature Light Cone to shine? Not strictly, but it is the best option. My top recommendation is An Instant Before A Gaze, his signature 5-star Light Cone. It provides a 36% CRIT DMG boost, and when the wearer uses their Ultimate, the Ultimate DMG increases by 0.36% for each point of Max Energy, up to 180 points. Since Argenti has 180 Max Energy, he can gain a 64.8% Ultimate DMG increase, which makes his already devastating Ultimate hit much harder.
If I could not get that, I would look for Before Dawn, Jing Yuan's 5-star Light Cone. It gives 36% CRIT DMG and 18% Skill and Ultimate DMG. The follow-up attack portion is wasted on Argenti, but the raw buffs are still valuable. Another 5-star alternative is Himeko's Night on the Milky Way, which gives an ATK boost for each enemy on the field and an extra DMG increase after a Weakness Break.
For 4-star options, I often recommend Today Is Another Peaceful Day. It boosts DMG by 0.20% per Energy point up to 160 points, giving Argenti a 32% total DMG increase. Make The World Clamor is also useful because it regenerates 20 Energy at the start of battle and increases Ultimate DMG by 32%.

Best Relics, Ornaments, & Stats
For Relics, I still farm the Champion of Streetwise Boxing set. The two-piece bonus gives 10% Physical DMG, while the four-piece bonus increases ATK by 5% after the wearer attacks or is hit, stacking up to five times for a 25% ATK boost. This matches Argenti's Physical damage focus and his preference for longer multi-wave fights.
For Ornaments, my first choice is Inert Salsotto. It grants 8% CRIT Rate, and once Argenti reaches 50% CRIT Rate, it increases Ultimate and follow-up attack DMG by 15%. Because Argenti's Ultimate is his main source of damage, this is excellent. A temporary option is Space Sealing Station, which gives 12% ATK and an extra 12% ATK if SPD is at least 120.
When I farm for stats, I focus on ATK, CRIT Rate, CRIT DMG, Physical DMG Bonus, and Energy Regeneration Rate. SPD is helpful, especially with Space Sealing Station, but I prefer to let a support boost his speed.

Best Team Comps For Argenti
In my experience, Argenti works best in a hypercarry team. Tingyun is almost non-negotiable for me because she provides both damage buffs and Energy Regeneration, which helps Argenti use his Ultimate more often. A second support can be Hanya or Bronya to boost SPD and ATK. For sustain, Huohuo is a great fit because she also contributes Energy Regeneration and ATK bonuses.
A mono Physical team is another fun option. I can run Argenti as the main DPS, Hanya as the support, Natasha as the healer, and Luka or Silver Wolf as the sub-DPS. Silver Wolf is not Physical, but her ability to implant weaknesses and reduce enemy DEF helps the whole team.
| Team Slot | Hypercarry Options | Mono Physical Options |
|---|---|---|
| Main DPS | Argenti | Argenti |
| Support | Tingyun | Hanya |
| Second Support | Hanya or Bronya | Silver Wolf or Luka |
| Sustain | Huohuo | Natasha |
Skill Priority For Argenti
When leveling Traces, I always prioritize Argenti's Ultimate first because it is his main source of damage. His Talent is next because it restores Energy and boosts CRIT Rate per enemy hit. Then I level his Skill, which is his secondary damage source during Ultimate downtime. I leave Basic Attack for last because it is the weakest part of his kit.

Is Argenti still worth building in 2026? In my opinion, yes, especially if you enjoy a dramatic AoE Physical damage dealer who benefits from a hypercarry setup and careful Energy management. He may not rely on follow-up attacks like some other Erudition characters, but his straightforward loop of hitting many enemies, charging his Ultimate, and unleashing huge burst damage remains effective. With the right Light Cone, Relics, and team support, I can keep Argenti competitive in multi-enemy content.
